Niaima Geresu

Niaima Geresu is an Apprentice Pilates Instructor at CORE Morningside and CORE Ormewood Park, teaching Classical Pilates in semi-private sessions and group classes. She completed her Pilates training over the past year and is currently certified on the Mat, Reformer, and Tower, with additional apparatus certifications forthcoming.

Niaima’s teaching is grounded in the fundamentals of Pilates—breath, alignment, and control—while meeting each client exactly where they are on any given day. She places strong emphasis on helping clients understand the why behind the work so movement feels empowering rather than confusing. Her sessions are supportive, thoughtfully challenging, and focused on helping clients feel present and connected in their bodies.

She especially enjoys working with newer movers and those early in their Pilates journey. Having once felt unsure of what she “should” be feeling herself, Niaima deeply understands how transformative it can be when things finally click. Through patience, consistency, and great teaching, she experienced how Pilates builds strength, confidence, and body awareness—and she is passionate about helping others experience that same sense of empowerment.

Outside of the studio, Niaima is a clinical pharmacist working in trauma care with elderly patients, an experience that further informs her thoughtful, safety-minded, and client-centered approach to movement.
